Women and Girls are facing physical, mental, emotional and health challenges every month due to menstruation and its challenges after, they find this hard to discuss due to perception and the feel of embarrassment and with less solution.

Many schoolgirls and women struggle to purchase menstrual hygiene solutions every month, and report using alternative items such as old cloth, toilet paper, and even newspapers.

Some girls and women simply skip school or work because they do not have menstrual hygiene options and fear embarrassment. In Ghana it is estimated that girls miss up to 5 days every month in school and that 95% of girls in rural areas failed to attend school during the menstrual period.
